Privacy Policy

APPRZR ("APPRZR", "we", "us") is an AI-powered item valuation and appraisal service operated by Jason Fitzpatrick, trading as APPRZR. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at any time at hello@apprzr.com.

• Account data. Your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account or sign in (including via Google sign-in).
• Appraisal content. The photographs you upload, the category you select, and the valuation reports generated from them (item name, condition grade, estimated value range, catalogue specifications and resale listing copy).
• Transaction data. Records of credit-pack purchases and the credits added to your balance, including the amount paid and the payment reference.
• Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers and basic telemetry about how the service is used, collected for security and product improvement.
• Support messages. Anything you send us when asking for help, such as emails to hello@apprzr.com.

• To provide the service — creating your account, storing your appraisal photographs, sending them for AI analysis, returning valuation reports and keeping them in your Vault. (Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.)
• To process payments — our reseller Paddle.com handles checkout, tax and refunds as Merchant of Record. (Legal basis: contract; Paddle determines its own purposes as an independent controller for payment data.)
• Security and fraud prevention — protecting accounts, enforcing credit balances and preventing abuse of the service. (Legal basis: legitimate interests.)
• Product improvement — understanding which features are used so we can improve accuracy and usability, on an aggregated basis wherever possible. (Legal basis: legitimate interests.)
• Customer support — responding to your enquiries. (Legal basis: contract or legitimate interests.)
• Service communications — transactional emails such as sign-in links and password resets. (Legal basis: contract.) We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to, and you can opt out at any time.

When you submit photographs, they are optimised in your browser and transmitted for analysis by third-party generative AI vision models, operated via our AI gateway. The photographs and accompanying category information are used solely to produce your valuation report. Photos uploaded by signed-in users are stored in private cloud storage and served to you only through short-lived, signed links. We do not use your photographs to advertise to you or sell them to third parties.

We share personal data only with the categories of recipients below:

• Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record, which conducts the order process, handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing and customer service for transactions and returns.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — our application hosting, managed database and authentication services (including Google, if you use Google sign-in) process account data and appraisal content on our behalf.
• AI model providers — vision and language models (including models operated by OpenAI) that analyse your photographs and generate valuation content via our AI gateway.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting and insurance advisers, under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities — law enforcement or regulators, where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Our infrastructure and providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where personal data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with adequacy decisions where available.

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Appraisal photographs and reports are kept until you delete them from your Vault or close your account, after which they are deleted within 90 days. Transaction records are retained for the period required by tax and accounting rules (typically up to 7 years). Support messages are kept for up to 24 months. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these yourself: delete appraisals from your Vault, and email hello@apprzr.com to export or close your account. We respond to requests within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database security and private storage with short-lived signed links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

APPRZR uses only strictly necessary cookies and equivalent browser storage to keep you signed in and secure the service. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled, is limited to privacy-preserving, aggregated measurement. You can clear or block these through your browser settings, though signing out may then not persist.

APPRZR is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the service. This page was last updated on the date shown at the top.
